Join our crew for an outdoor adventure preserving, repairing, and maintaining historic structures across Minnesota!
Northern Bedrock’s mission is to develop enduring workforce and life skills through service learning in historic preservation and community stewardship. Our AmeriCorps program provides young adults (ages 18-25) the opportunity to develop preservation trade skills through hands-on training and projects. During the field season, June through October, crews meet in Duluth, MN, and travel to serve on historic sites and structures across the state of Minnesota!
Crews are made up of 5-6 Corpsmembers, ages 18-25. Each Corpsmember earns a bi-weekly living stipend, is eligible for student loan forbearance during their term of service, and receives an Education Award upon completion, to be used for educational expenses.
By working with Northern Bedrock to repair and restore historic buildings, structures and landscapes you’ll have the opportunity to learn real-world skills that can help to open the door to a future career. As a part of our program, you’ll have the opportunity to network with trades professionals, trade unions, and historic preservation specialists.
